Transfer Information Day. Came in super early by bike but forgot my keys, maria let me in and got started with the AV keys. had to wait until Jen came by about 6:45 to get keys, then ended up behind anyway because I kept setting the keys down. Would have helped if I had written down the thing about the tables in the lobby-- I could have done them the night before if I had remembered. Sign holders are a pain for TID, need to find out how not to overreact when I get ticked off about stuff like that. Stark gallery reception for Kristen ? was a short one, we were done early and JTB helpd us, he wants to go to the Zone Club. Thursday, September 23, 2004
Foriegner load in. Setup Transfer Information Day. Not much- tightened up some drawings for BB, then took chairs over to Zachary in prep for National Instruments gig. Took everything else at 4:30 and setup chairs. Kate is NI rep from last year (blond) Heather is tall brunette. Dr. T is owner. Naomi booked us, after we were all setup two kids from "blocker media services" showed up and asked "did someone order a speaker?" They had a little pignose amp and a mic. Told Kate if Dr. T would rather have a wireless we could do it for not much more. Loadout, the NI guys were in our way but we got done a lot earlier than we thought. Rember to doublecheck podium from speakers POV, podium was rocking a little bit. Consider removing all 1/8in adapters that will not readily fit a laptop... I had to hold this one in while the sound played (60 sec?) Tuesday, September 21, 2004
Monday: Started on GRW stage first thing- redrew stage and went to reed. Becky says we have some pipe and drape bases and some 2' Z frame that belongs over there. WE also have their socopex. Built stage- remember carts to move lids (can we build another indoor/outdoor flat lid cart?) Need to find out where the rest of our lid clips are. GRW setup went well, BB took over for me at 6:30 and I went home. Lessons Learned: load lids, then handrail, then other stuff but leave frames and caps on tail of truck. Monday, September 20, 2004
Women's Athletic deal in zone club. Done at 21:45. Did all wrls and fed sound to video posn on North wall. Drew some BFMEM stuff for BB. Sunday, September 19, 2004
Sunday: came in for Honor Society induction ceeremony. Virginia was natl director from DC. Jim Olson was keynote speaker, they just used chairs on stage and a center podium. Lessons learned: Remember to check lights early, they may not be patched/focused, and they may not be programmed to faders on the Reflection. |
